Meanwhile, use the ESC/Save to save the game manually then using quick save hotkey to save instantly and save a lot. Steam cloud may be the problem as there is no fix yet, and disabling steam cloud would disable the achievements. If you save your progress using autosave/quicksave, the game may revert you back to first quicksave when you restart the game, resulting in loss of all the game progress.
